One of the system components is the IndraDrive Cs drive converter built for single-axis operations. The drive converters deliver impressive performance and have multiple interfaces with communication protocols to aid their functions.

The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-A-CC-EC-EC-L3-NN-FW is a model of the HCS01 drive converters designed for single-axis applications by Bosch Rexroth. It is cooled via a cooling airflow within its control cabinet, into which it can be easily mounted because of its compact size. Its Ingress Protection rating per EN 60529 is IP 20, indicating that it will not admit solid extrinsic objects over 12mm in diameter. The drive converter is operated with a three-phase AC mains connecting voltage between 110V and 230V. Its maximum current is 5.0A, while its insulation resistance is 10.00 MOhm at 500V DC. It also has a user-friendly control panel with a single-line display and four operating keys. Users can view its various operating states on this panel, trigger simple commands, and run diagnostics.

Communication between the HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-A-CC-EC-EC-L3-NN-FW and other control units is via its sercos III cross communication module. It is compatible with control sections in the ADVANCED range and has two multi-encoder interfaces. Encoders with 5V and 12V supply voltages can be connected to it, such as the MSK motor encoder, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface, the MS2N motor encoder, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track. As a product of category C3 per IEC 61800-3, this HCS01 model must be used with radio interference suppression filters when used in residential areas.
