The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-A-CC-EC-EC-L4-NN-FW drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Designed for cabinet mounting in multi-axis automation, the unit governs power flow from the plant mains to synchronous or asynchronous motors while exchanging real-time motion data with higher-level control systems. By integrating power conversion, safety logic, and feedback processing into one housing, the controller supports coordinated speed, torque, and position control in production cells where compact installation and predictable axis response are important.

The controller accepts a three-phase supply of 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10% and can deliver up to 8 A of peak output current to the connected axis. Internal thermal management relies on internal air cooling, so an integrated blower moves cabinet air across the heat sinks without external ducting. Touch-safe construction is verified by the IP20 rating for installation inside a protected electrical enclosure. Both feedback channels use the IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface, and motion commands with drive-to-drive data exchange are carried over the SERCOS III master with cross communication interface for synchronized operation.

The control section is the ADVANCED type, which provides expanded processing capability for electronic gearing, interpolation, and parameter storage. Integrated safety includes STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control), allowing the drive to support controlled shutdown functions without separate external contactors for these tasks. Energy is exchanged with the DC bus through DC-bus infeeding, which allows regenerated power to be shared among axes and can reduce the need for braking resistors.
