The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-A-CC-EC-PB-NN-NN-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. In industrial automation, it operates as the axis-level power and regulation module that links the line supply to IndraDyn servo motors. By rectifying and modulating three-phase power while exchanging real-time data with a supervisory PLC, the controller delivers timed torque and position updates for packaging machines, pick-and-place gantries, and material-handling stations. This role lets a higher-level controller coordinate motion while the drive manages current, speed, and position at the axis. Its compact footprint supports dense cabinet layouts where multiple drives share a common DC bus.

At the power input, the unit accepts 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10% and internally converts that range into a stabilized DC link. From this bus, it can provide up to 5 A of peak current to a single motor. The controller uses an ADVANCED control section, so extended motion functions and parameter memory are available without option cards. System coordination occurs over the integrated SERCOS III master channel, which allows deterministic cross-communication among drives for electronic gearing. Because the housing is rated IP20, the unit must be installed inside a closed cabinet.

Auxiliary fieldbus connectivity is provided by a dedicated PROFIBUS port for integration with plant control networks. Motor feedback is handled through the Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 channel, which eliminates the need for separate converter boards. Heat is removed by internal air cooling from an integrated blower. The power section has an Infeeding / Feeded classification, so the unit can supply DC bus energy to other HCS01 drives or absorb regenerated energy from them. The unit is design version 1 and does not include an integrated safety interface, so external STO hardware is required when that function is needed.
