Internal Product Review
The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-E-S3-EC-NN-L4-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller with an ECONOMY control section and internal air cooling through an integrated blower. SERCOS III communication and IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder support make integration and feedback handling efficient. STO/Safe Brake Control and 28 A peak current make the controller a strong fit for compact servo applications.

Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-E-S3-EC-NN-L4-NN-FW is a single-axis drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Designed for cabinet installation, it links the plant's three-phase supply with servo or induction motors and sends precise torque and speed commands for motion sequences in assembly lines, packaging machines, and material-handling systems. Its single-axis layout suits applications where each motor is controlled by a dedicated power stage inside a compact automation cabinet. As an HCS drive controller, it supports modular IndraDrive architectures in compact control enclosures.
Electrical power is accepted over 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10% and converted to regulated DC for the inverter section. From there, the unit can supply up to 28 A of peak current to the motor during acceleration or regeneration. The housing has an IP20 rating, so the controller must be installed inside a protected cabinet. Excess heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which circulates air through the fins without external ducting. Functional safety is provided by STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control) channels on the front terminal strip, and this design version 1 unit uses the infeeding/feeded power supply concept.
For real-time axis coordination, the controller communicates via SERCOS III, and feedback is processed through a dedicated IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface on the control card. A second communication slot is not equipped, which simplifies wiring for installations that use the ECONOMY control section. Within the HCS01 line, the controller is supplied with the control section already installed, so no optional extension boards are required. The network and feedback connections are therefore concentrated on the installed control card, which keeps the axis interface layout straightforward.
