As a compact servo inverter, it links the plant mains supply to synchronous or asynchronous motors and executes axis control tasks in automated machinery. The unit processes command signals, modulates output current, and coordinates motion sequences, making it a central component for packaging lines, handling systems, and general factory automation that require precise velocity and torque regulation.
It accepts a nominal supply of 3 × AC 110–230 V ±10%, allowing direct connection to low-voltage three-phase networks in compact machines. The controller can deliver up to 3 A of peak output current, which is the maximum instantaneous drive current available for motor acceleration or dynamic braking. Communication uses MultiEthernet, so the device can be addressed over EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT without hardware changes. Feedback from the motor is routed through the Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 port, providing absolute position data for closed-loop control. Heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, eliminating the need for external ducting. Classified under the HCS01 line, this Version 1 hardware uses a single-slot design that simplifies cabinet layout while keeping conductor paths short.
