Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-CC-EC-EM-S4-NN-FW is a cabinet-mounted drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It converts three-phase mains power into controlled output for servo and induction motors, executing motion commands received over fieldbus networks. Its compact HCS01 footprint suits multi-axis packaging, handling, and machining cells where cabinet space is limited. In these systems, the controller regulates torque, speed, and position while helping reduce panel space and wiring complexity. This allows the unit to fit into dense control cabinets without sacrificing coordinated motion performance.
Incoming power from a 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10% supply is rectified and buffered before being delivered to the motor leads. During acceleration or dynamic events, the controller can source up to 54 A of peak current so the connected axis can overcome inertia without losing synchronization. Heat generated by the IGBTs is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which keeps components within operating limits without external ducting. Network traffic moves through a SERCOS III master interface that also supports cross-communication between neighboring drives, allowing coordinated exchange of motion data inside a machine network. For electrical protection, the housing carries an IP20 rating, indicating finger-safe terminals for installation inside a closed electrical cabinet. The power supply unit supports common DC bus energy sharing, which helps manage power flow between connected axes.
The control electronics are ordered in the ADVANCED configuration, which provides extended processing power for cyclic interpolation and safety functions. Motor feedback is accepted through the Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 port, while older systems can be supported by the separate Encoder emulation output. The unit is identified as Design version 1. This combination lets the controller work with modern Rexroth motor feedback formats while still supporting applications that need an emulated encoder signal. It also keeps the feedback path integrated inside the drive rather than relying on separate conversion hardware.
