The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-A-CC-EC-ET-L4-NN-FW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It belongs to the HCS01 line and is used as the power and control stage for servo axes in automated machinery. In operation, the module receives motion commands from a higher-level controller and regulates motor power so that connected axes can accelerate, decelerate, and hold position accurately. It also supports shared DC-bus operation, allowing regenerated energy from one axis to be used by another axis on the same system.
The power stage accepts a three-phase supply of 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10%. It can provide up to 28 A of peak current to the connected motor during short load changes and dynamic motion events. Heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which keeps the power electronics ventilated inside the controller. Command and diagnostic data are exchanged over SERCOS III master with cross communication, supporting synchronized motion between axes on the network. The installed control section uses the ADVANCED design type. For functional safety, the unit includes STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control). The housing has an IP20 protection rating, so the controller must be installed inside an enclosure that prevents accidental contact with live parts.
For network flexibility, the drive includes MultiEthernet connectivity, allowing selection of EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT. Motion feedback is handled through an IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface, which supports compatible motor feedback systems and single-cable technology. The power circuit supports both infeeding and fed operation, so braking energy can return to the DC link instead of being dissipated locally. Design version 1 indicates the initial hardware release, and the standard panel format keeps the unit suitable for typical HCS01 cabinet layouts.
