Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-S4-NN-FW is a single-axis drive controller in the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It combines power conversion, motion control, and communication in one housing to operate servo or asynchronous motors in conveyors, pick-and-place systems, and similar automated equipment. By converting incoming three-phase power into controlled motor output, the unit supports accurate current and voltage regulation during positioning and speed-control tasks. Its integrated design helps reduce the number of separate modules needed for a compact machine axis and keeps power, feedback, and network functions in one device.
The controller accepts a mains supply of 3 x AC 200…500 V ±10%, allowing use across a broad industrial voltage range. During short acceleration peaks, the inverter can deliver up to 18 A of peak current to support temporary overload demand. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, so the unit is intended for installation inside a control cabinet. Network communication is handled through the MultiEthernet interface, and motor feedback is connected through an Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 port for compatible encoder systems. This combination allows the drive to exchange command data with the control system while also receiving rotor position signals needed for closed-loop operation.
A separate motion bus uses CANopen for real-time coordination with other machine components. The installed control section is the BASIC variant, which provides the core control functions for standard axis applications. Thermal management uses internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which removes heat without external ducting. The power stage supports an infeeding and feeding DC-link concept, allowing regenerated energy to be shared with other connected axes. This arrangement is useful in multi-axis systems where one axis can absorb energy returned by another during braking.
