The HCS01.1E-W0009-A-02-E-S3-EC-NN-NN-AA-FW drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It converts line power, executes motion commands, and drives synchronous or asynchronous motors in automated assembly cells, packaging stations, and material-handling axes. By closing the current, speed, and position loops in one housing, the unit delivers the rapid response and accuracy required for modern industrial automation. This integrated control structure helps the axis respond consistently during starting, speed changes, and position correction under varying mechanical loads.
The controller accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 110…230 V ±10%, allowing direct connection to common low-voltage plant networks. Heat from the power semiconductors is removed by internal blower cooling, so the unit can manage thermal buildup inside a protected cabinet. During acceleration, it can supply up to 9 A of peak current, giving short-term torque reserve for temporary load increases. Fieldbus traffic is handled through SERCOS III, providing deterministic real-time exchange for coordinated multi-axis operation. The installed control section is the ECONOMY variant, which suits applications that need core motion control functions without added interface complexity.
Within the HCS01 line, the power stage uses the Infeeding / Feeded topology, which allows the device to share or return DC-bus energy within the drive system. Its housing is rated IP20, which protects against finger contact and is intended for installation inside a closed electrical enclosure rather than direct exposure on the machine. Feedback is accepted through Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2, allowing compatibility with common motor feedback systems used for precise speed and position control. A second feedback channel and the safety interface are omitted to simplify the configuration. Manufactured as design version 1, the hardware is supplied without resident application software.
