Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-A-CC-EC-PB-S4-NN-FW drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. This single-axis unit handles servo or induction motor regulation in compact machines. By combining the power stage and an exchangeable control section, the product supplies closed-loop motion control suited to low-voltage three-phase power supplies. It serves as the axis inverter where precise speed and torque control are required.
The power section connects to 3 x AC 110–230 V ±10% utility lines, so the same model can run on standard low-voltage three-phase supplies found in small machine panels. During acceleration or dynamic braking, the inverter can deliver up to 18 A of peak output current, furnishing short bursts of torque without thermal overload. Internal heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, and the blower draws cabinet air across heat-sink fins without external ducting. An IP20 ingress rating makes live parts finger-safe, but it requires installation in a closed electrical cabinet. The plugged control insert in the ADVANCED design type offers expanded axis functions, parameter memory, and additional I/O channels.
System integration uses the controller’s network and feedback ports. Cross-communication over SERCOS III master with cross communication enables real-time data exchange between drives, while a dedicated encoder input accepts IndraDyn Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder feedback for absolute position capture. For legacy PLC environments, the front panel also provides PROFIBUS connectivity, giving cyclic control and diagnostic telegrams on a single twisted pair. The power stage supports infeeding or fed operation, so it can absorb regenerated energy onto the DC bus or receive it from a common supply module. This arrangement supports multi-axis systems with shared energy flow between connected drives.
