Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-B-ET-EC-EP-L4-NN-FW is a compact HCS drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Classified as design version 1, the unit mounts inside a control cabinet, accepts three-phase industrial power, and delivers closed-loop current and velocity regulation to synchronous or asynchronous motors. By combining power electronics with signal processing, it serves as the central actuator interface in packaging machines, material-handling gantries, and other automated equipment. This arrangement supports coordinated motion tasks where the drive must respond quickly to changing load and speed commands.
The power stage tolerates a three-phase mains supply from 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10%, which covers common 230 V and 400 V plant grids. Within that range, the converter can deliver up to 54 A of peak output current, allowing short bursts of acceleration without overloading the bus capacitors. Protection against solid objects is limited to IP20, so the unit must be installed inside an enclosed control cabinet. Thermal control relies on internal air cooling through an integrated blower, and the unit uses a basic control section for core drive functions while leaving expansion slots available for application-specific option cards. Because the enclosure is open to cabinet air, the installation space must allow unobstructed airflow around the heat-dissipating surfaces.
For fieldbus integration, the controller includes a MultiEthernet port that can operate as EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT, depending on configuration. Position feedback from the motor is processed through an IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface, enabling high-resolution commutation and accurate motor control. Drive-integrated functional safety is provided by STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control), which remove torque-producing energy and manage the brake during emergency stops. DC bus energy is exchanged through an infeeding and regenerative power supply topology, allowing the unit to draw power from or return power to a shared supply. This communication and feedback combination allows the controller to exchange command data with the machine network while maintaining precise rotor position tracking.
