The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-B-ET-EC-EC-L3-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It forms the power and regulation core of multi-axis automation. The controller converts incoming mains energy into controlled motor currents so speed, torque, and position loops can run accurately. Because current regulation is handled inside the drive, the higher-level control can command acceleration, deceleration, and holding behavior with predictable results. This supports packaging lines, handling gantries, and compact conveyor modules where repeatable motion is required.
This controller accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200–500 V ±10 % and can furnish up to 28 A of peak current during dynamic load events. Thermal management is provided by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, and the housing has an IP20 protection rating for installation inside a closed electrical enclosure. It is intended for mounting in a protected control cabinet rather than in open machine space. Its control section is designated BASIC, so standard motion functions are available without extended technology options. The power section is infeeding and feeder capable, allowing energy exchange with a shared DC bus and braking modules while keeping cabinet wiring compact.
Fieldbus communication is implemented with MultiEthernet, enabling parameter access over EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT from a single hardware platform. Safe torque off is available through the STO interface, which shuts down drive torque when the safety chain is opened. Two identical feedback ports support Hiperface/EnDat 2.1 / 2.2 encoder systems, allowing synchronous motor feedback redundancy or multi-motor wiring schemes. This layout gives the drive flexibility when it is paired with compatible synchronous motors that use separate feedback connections. The unit is design version 1.
