Internal Product Review
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-A-ET-EC-EC-NN-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller with MultiEthernet communication. A 3 x AC 200 to 500 V input range and 18 A peak current give this unit strong flexibility for demanding motion applications. Dual encoder interfaces supporting IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1/2.2 make this controller a very capable choice for precise feedback integration.

Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-A-ET-EC-EC-NN-NN-FW is a drive controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It converts incoming three-phase power into regulated DC and PWM output for servo and induction motors used in positioning, conveying, and spindle applications in automated machinery. The unit serves as the power section of a modular IndraDrive stack and works with a separate control card to carry out motion control and diagnostic functions.
Data exchange with PLC or SCADA networks occurs through the integrated MultiEthernet port, which supports several Ethernet-based fieldbus systems without additional hardware. Transient load demands are handled by a peak output of 18 A, allowing short acceleration bursts before the current returns to continuous limits. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling with an integrated blower, so no external fan tray is required. The mains input accepts 200–500 V AC three-phase ±10%, which allows installation on both 200 V and 400 V factory power systems. Two feedback sockets accept incremental or absolute encoders that use IndraDyn Hiperface or EnDat 2.2, giving the drive precise rotor position information for stable control loops. The enclosure has a rating of IP20, which provides finger-safe access and requires cabinet mounting for additional protection.
The power stage is classified for infeeding and fed operation, so it can supply or return energy on a shared DC bus when used with regenerative converters. It is matched to the BASIC control section, which provides the control functions and I/O structure used for standard drive operation. The unit has no safety interface, so machine-level safety functions must be provided by external safety devices. It uses the standard mechanical layout for this design version and does not include additional option modules.
