Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-B-ET-EC-DA-NN-NN-AW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and included in the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Designed for cabinet installation, the unit converts three-phase mains power into regulated output for synchronous or induction motors while exchanging commands with higher-level PLCs. In a motion system, it acts as the link between the incoming supply and the machine axis, processing feedback signals, executing drive algorithms, and protecting connected hardware during acceleration, deceleration, and steady operation.
The controller integrates a MultiEthernet communication port that supports several real-time Ethernet protocols, which helps simplify network wiring. Its power stage accepts 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10%, allowing the same unit to operate across a wide range of industrial mains systems. During rapid load changes, the inverter can deliver a device peak current of 28 A, which provides additional torque headroom before current limiting begins. Thermal management uses internal air cooling with an integrated blower, and the IP20 enclosure requires installation inside a closed control cabinet to limit exposure to larger foreign objects.
The control side uses the BASIC design, which indicates a standard control configuration without advanced technology options. Position feedback is connected through a combined encoder socket that accepts IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1/2.2 signals, enabling high-resolution motor commutation through a single cable connection. The unit is Design Version 1, placing it in the first release of the HCS01 platform. The integrated supply section supports infeeding/feeded operation, so the device can either supply DC bus energy to downstream axes or receive power from an upstream rectifier link. The unit is not equipped with functional safety, so any required STO or SS1 functions must be provided by external safety hardware.
