The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02 is a drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. As a servo inverter, it converts incoming mains power into a controlled three-phase output that governs torque, speed, and position of attached motors while exchanging status data with higher-level PLCs. In automated packaging cells, conveyor modules, or small handling systems, this controller supplies regulated energy to the axis and manages braking recovery without separate contactors. It is suited to compact motion tasks where the same unit must support acceleration, steady running, and controlled deceleration.
The controller draws a three-phase supply from 3 x AC 110–230 V ±10%, so it can be used with common low-voltage industrial distribution systems. Its power stage delivers up to 18 A of peak output current, providing margin for rapid motor acceleration or short regenerative events before thermal limits are reached. Heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower at the top of the housing, eliminating the need for external ductwork. The enclosure carries an IP20 rating, so the unit is intended for installation inside a control cabinet. That enclosure rating also provides basic finger protection for live parts when the controller is mounted correctly. The unit matches compact drive and feedback interfaces used in pick-and-place axes, indexers, and small conveyor zones.
Within the HCS01 line series, the W0018 hardware uses an infeeding and line-fed topology, allowing bidirectional energy flow between the DC bus and the mains when several controllers share a common supply.
