The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-PB-L4-NN-AW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. In multi-axis industrial automation, this unit modulates AC power for synchronous and induction motors while synchronizing motion with machine commands issued by higher-level PLCs. By combining power electronics, control logic, and fieldbus connectivity in one housing, the controller serves as the core of compact drive cabinets for packaging, material handling, and general motion platforms.
It operates from a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10 %, allowing the same hardware to be used on low- or mid-voltage plant grids without tap changes. During acceleration or regeneration, the power stage can source up to 18 A of peak current, which suits low- to medium-inertia axes in the HCS01 line. Heat is expelled by an internal air blower, so no external heat sink is required. A MultiEthernet port provides standard TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and EtherCAT services for parameter access and real-time cyclic data, while the enclosure’s IP20 rating limits installation to clean, protected electrical enclosures. The power supply section supports infeeding and fed operation, permitting energy exchange between interconnected drives on a common DC bus.
The controller uses a control section classified as BASIC with Design Version 1, which provides the I/O logic for this configuration. For motion feedback, Interface 1 accepts Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 signals, enabling absolute position evaluation over a single cable. Networked device coordination can also rely on the dedicated PROFIBUS port when a legacy fieldbus is required. Safety circuits are embedded directly in the power stage through STO and SBC functions, providing certified torque and brake shutdown when an emergency stop, guard door, or light curtain is triggered.
