The HCS01.1E-W0003-A-02-E-S3-EC-NN-L4-AA-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Within an automation cell, it forms the electronic link between the three-phase mains and the motor windings, regulating torque and velocity commands issued by a higher-level PLC. By combining power electronics, communication hardware, and safety functions in a 65 mm wide housing, the unit fits control cabinets where multiple coordinated axes are required.
This controller accepts a supply of 3 × AC 110…230 V ±10% and routes that energy through insulated-gate transistors sized for a device peak current of 3 A. Heat from the switching stage is removed by internal air cooling that uses an integrated blower, so no external ducting is needed. On the network side, the unit communicates over SERCOS III, allowing deterministic cycle times for drive parameters and real-time diagnostics. The electronics are protected to IP20, meaning fingers and solid objects above 12.5 mm are blocked while cabinet airflow remains unobstructed. All wiring points are located on the front edge of the HCS01 line, simplifying access when several units are installed side by side.
The control section uses the ECONOMY variant, which is paired with this power section. Power is exchanged with a common DC bus through an Infeeding / Feeded topology, so surplus regenerative energy can be shared or returned to a central supply module. Integrated functional safety is provided by STO and SBC, enabling immediate torque removal and brake actuation without external relays. Position feedback is accepted on the first interface via Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2, and a second encoder port is not equipped on this model. The unit uses design version 1, and its interface set is fixed for this configuration.
