Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-B-ET-EC-EC-S4-NN-AW for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. The module conditions three-phase power and executes drive commands in multi-axis machinery such as packaging lines, handling systems, and machine tools. As part of the HCS01 line, it slides into an IndraDrive rack next to a matching control section and motor contactor, where it provides the power stage that converts DC-link energy into regulated motor current for fast closed-loop motion control in industrial automation.
Communication is handled through MultiEthernet, enabling direct connection to EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, SERCOS III, and TCP/IP diagnostic channels through a single port. The power stage accepts 3 × AC 200–500 V ±10%, so one part number can be used on both 230 V and 480 V mains. Cooling is provided by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which draws cabinet air across the heat sink and helps keep semiconductor junctions within operating limits. For acceleration peaks, the inverter supplies up to 28 A of device peak current, preserving torque reserve above the continuous rating. A housing classification of IP20 protects against accidental finger contact and requires installation inside a control cabinet with filtered airflow.
The control section that mates with this power unit carries the BASIC designation, and the overall assembly corresponds to design 1 of the HCS01 family. Two synchronized feedback ports based on IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interfaces provide high-resolution position data for servo loops without external converters. DC-link energy is exchanged through an infeeding and regenerative supply topology, allowing braking energy from one axis to support other axes before excess energy is returned to the mains.
