Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0009-A-02-B-ET-EC-PB-L4-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Designed as the link between a three-phase supply and IndraDyn servo motors, it handles power conversion, feedback evaluation, and fieldbus communication so that motion commands issued by a PLC translate directly into regulated current and voltage. Integrating the control section, power stage, and blower in one housing allows the unit to be installed in multi-axis material-handling and packaging lines without requiring separate cooling hardware.
The unit operates from a three-phase supply window of 3 x AC 110…230 V ±10%, enabling use on standard low-voltage grids. The inverter furnishes up to 9 A of peak current, letting small and mid-frame motors accelerate without reaching current limits. Heat is expelled by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no external ducting is required. The housing carries a protection class of IP20, which means it must be mounted inside a switchgear cabinet for touch safety. At the control level, parameter exchange and cyclic data pass through MultiEthernet, allowing a single port to support EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or other Ethernet-based protocols as required by the host controller.
The drive is paired with a BASIC control section and design version 1, which includes the unit’s diagnostic logic. Motor feedback enters through an interface compatible with Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoders, while legacy field devices can communicate over PROFIBUS. Functional safety is integrated, and the hardware provides STO and SBC so torque generation and brake actuation can be disabled during an emergency stop sequence. An infeed and power-sharing topology lets several HCS01 units share regenerated energy through a common DC bus.
