The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-EC-NN-AA-FW drive controller is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Within an automated cell, it acts as the regulated power stage that converts DC-bus energy into controlled three-phase output for servo axes. The device executes drive-based control loops, receives motion commands from higher-level PLCs, and returns status data for coordinated positioning. This allows the connected motor to follow acceleration, deceleration, and holding commands with stable current regulation during repetitive machine cycles. Its role supports indexing conveyors, form-fill-seal stations, and pick-and-place gantries where tight speed and position tolerances are required.

The control section is classified as BASIC, so standard motion functions are available without optional technology extensions. All command traffic and diagnostics travel over MultiEthernet, enabling connection to EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, EtherCAT, or SERCOS III networks through the same port. The power stage can deliver up to 18 A of device peak current, a short-term reserve that helps the motor overcome inertia during acceleration.
