The Bosch Rexroth Indramat HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-A-ET-EC-DA-NN-NN-FW belongs to the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series and is supplied as an HCS drive controller. It provides velocity and torque regulation for servo or induction motors, allowing production lines, packaging cells, and material-handling equipment to coordinate axis motion from one compact unit. By combining power conversion, axis control, and network connectivity in the same housing, the controller reduces the number of separate components required in a cabinet. This layout supports centralized motion control while keeping wiring paths shorter inside industrial automation systems.

The control section communicates with higher-level PLCs over the MultiEthernet interface, so one communication option can support EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and other Ethernet-based industrial networks. Its supply range of 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10% allows operation from common plant voltages without requiring a separate transformer for standard installations. During dynamic acceleration, the inverter can deliver a peak current of 18 A, which gives the axis additional short-term torque for demanding motion profiles. Motor feedback is processed through the Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 port, allowing the drive to work with high-resolution position data during closed-loop operation. The housing has an IP20 rating, so it is finger-safe but must be installed inside a closed electrical cabinet.

Internal thermal management uses internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which removes heat without external ducting. The unit is part of the HCS01 line and is design version 1. Its power module is configured for infeeding and fed operation, allowing regenerated braking energy to return to the DC bus instead of being dissipated immediately at the axis. The controller does not include an integrated safety interface, so any required safety functions must be provided elsewhere in the machine system.
