Okuma

Okuma Noodle Machine Co., founded in 1898 in Nagoya, Japan by founder Eiichi Okuma, was a company that manufactured and sold noodle-making machines. Unimpressed with the poor precision lathes available in Japan, Okuma was inspired to start designing and building machine tools. In 1918 Eiichi established Okuma Machinery Works Ltd. and began selling the OS lathe. With over 100 years of history and experience, Okuma is one of the industry leaders and innovators when it comes to machine tools, especially lathes. Okuma’s CNC machine tools include lathes, machining centers, multitasking machines, and grinding machines. Okuma machine tools provide a level of precision that customers truly benefit from.
