HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-A-ET-EC-EC-L3-NN-FW is a digital drive controller. It is used to control motor speed and position for industrial applications. The controller is developed by Bosch Rexroth. It is available in an IP20 rated housing that weighs 1.3 kilograms. Height of the controller is 215 millimeters, its width is 50 millimeters, and its depth is 195 millimeters. The capacitance against the housing is 2 x 69 nanofarads. For strong ingress protection, the controller must be installed inside a control cabinet. However, large cabinets must be used because the heat is dissipated inside the cabinet. The optimal ambient temperature range is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The recommended spacings are as follows: 10 millimeters on the front side and 90 millimeters on the top and bottom side. These spacings will help to ensure smooth airflow that is required for proper cooling.

The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-A-ET-EC-EC-L3-NN-FW controller supports several factory installed features. It supports Multi-Ethernet master communication. It is also equipped with two multi-encoder interface modules. This module enables controller use with all standard encoders (HIPERFACE®, EnDat2.1, EnDat2.2, SSI, BiSS C, TTL, sin/cos, resolver, MSM encoder, MS2N encoder). A safety module installed on the unit supports safe torque off (STO). This is a feature that is designed to prevent accidents. In the event of an emergency, a malfunction, or when a safety stop is activated, the primary function of STO is to immediately cease the torque, or rotating force, of a motor. It offers a high level of safety in industrial settings by abruptly stopping a motor's torque in an emergency, lowering the possibility of people harm and equipment damage. Peak output current of the controller is 8 Amps and its input voltage range is 200 to 500 Volts AC.
