Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-E-S3-EC-NN-NN-AA-FW is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It functions as a compact drive control unit that manages power conversion and closed-loop regulation for servo and induction motors in the HCS01 line. In multi-axis automation, the unit links the mains input, control functions, and motor feedback loops so connected axes can follow coordinated motion sequences. Its integrated power stage and control electronics allow one housing to handle both drive control and motor regulation tasks.
It communicates with the higher-level PLC over SERCOS III fiber-optic communication, allowing cycle-synchronous data exchange for precise velocity and torque commands. The power stage accepts 3 × AC 200–500 V ±10%, so the same controller can be used on both 230 V and 400 V networks. During acceleration, the inverter can deliver up to 18 A of peak output for short periods of increased torque demand. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which removes semiconductor heat without requiring an external cooling device. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, so the controller is intended for installation inside a control cabinet.
The control electronics use the ECONOMY version, which omits optional I/O and safety extensions while preserving the main drive functions. Motion feedback enters through an encoder socket that supports IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoders, while Interface 2 and the functional safety interface are not populated. The power bus can operate in an infeeding and fed configuration, so several drives can share a common DC link and return regenerative energy to the supply. Because the secondary interface is absent, wiring is limited to the primary communication and feedback connections used by the controller.
