Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-A-ET-EC-NN-S5-NN-FW is a drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and part of the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. In an automation cell, it forms the power and control interface between the plant’s AC mains and a connected motor, processing command data and encoder feedback so the axis follows velocity, torque, or position profiles from a higher-level PLC. Communication is handled through an integrated MultiEthernet port, which carries motion commands and status updates over several industrial Ethernet protocols. This arrangement lets the controller fit machines that need networked motion control without adding a separate communication module or gateway.
The power stage accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200–500 V ±10%, covering common low- and medium-voltage networks without a transformer. During rapid acceleration, current drawn from the DC link can reach 8 A, so upstream protection and conductor sizing must account for that demand. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, which means the controller is intended for installation inside a closed cabinet rather than in open machine areas. Motor position data enters through the first feedback connection, which supports IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoders for closed-loop control. This feedback path gives the drive the position information it needs for commutation, speed regulation, and accurate axis response during motion.
Thermal management relies on internal air cooling generated by an integrated blower, which keeps the housing compact and avoids the need for external heat sinks. Power is exchanged over a DC bus that supports infeeding and feeding operation, allowing braking energy from one axis to be used elsewhere in a multi-axis system. The controller uses a BASIC control section for standard motion tasks, including routine speed, torque, and position control. The unit is Design Version 1, and the second encoder port is not populated. With only the primary feedback channel installed, the layout stays focused on single-feedback applications.
