The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-S4-NN-FW is a drive controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It regulates the speed and torque of synchronous or asynchronous motors in automated machines, acting as the link between PLC commands and the mechanical axis. By converting incoming line power into a controlled three-phase output while processing encoder data, it supports precise motion in packaging, handling, and assembly equipment. It uses the HCS01 power stage in design version 1 and shares the mechanical dimensions of other 50 mm modules, which helps when several units must be mounted side by side in a narrow cabinet.
Its power stage supplies up to 18 A peak, which supports short acceleration periods on small to medium axes. The unit accepts 3 x AC 200–500 V ±10%, allowing the same controller to operate on a wide range of plant voltages. Network integration is handled through MultiEthernet, so EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT can be selected in software to match the control system. Cooling uses internal air through an integrated blower across the heat sink. With an IP20 housing, the controller requires cabinet mounting, and the finger-safe construction helps protect low-voltage terminals inside the enclosure. Feedback compatibility includes IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1 or 2.2 encoders for high-resolution position control.
The control section is BASIC and provides the standard I/O, memory, and safety set for general-purpose motion tasks without extra option cards. The power module uses infeeding and fed operation, so braking energy can be returned to a shared DC bus and used by other axes instead of being wasted as heat.
