Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-CC-EC-ET-L3-NN-FW, a base unit in the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. This HCS drive controller converts three-phase mains power into regulated motor output and executes real-time motion profiles supplied by a higher-level controller. It is intended for industrial automation lines where compact, panel-mounted drive units coordinate multiple axes. The unit combines power electronics, control logic, and safety circuitry in one housing, which helps reduce cabinet space in conveyors, pick-and-place stations, and light machining centers.

The controller accepts 3 x AC 200…500 V ±10% input, allowing it to operate on a wide range of factory power systems. Its IGBT stage supplies a peak current of 54 A, providing headroom for rapid motor acceleration. Heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no external ducting is required. The housing has an IP20 rating, which helps prevent finger contact and requires installation inside a control cabinet. For functional safety, the integrated STO circuit removes torque when its channel opens.

Coordinated motion is exchanged over a SERCOS III master port that supports real-time communication among drives. A MultiEthernet socket carries service traffic and other non-real-time controller data without interrupting the motion network. Precise rotor feedback is handled through the Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 channel, allowing single-cable motor connections with compatible Rexroth motors. The installed control section is the ADVANCED variant, which supports functions such as cyclic synchronous positioning and electronic gearing. This network arrangement separates motion control traffic from service communication while maintaining closed-loop drive operation.
