Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-L3-NN-AW drive controller is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. This stand-alone unit is intended to regulate servo or induction motors inside automated machinery, translating control commands into controlled torque and speed. By integrating into the HCS01 line, the controller provides a compact solution for axis control where cabinet space and modularity are important design constraints. The hardware corresponds to design version 1, and its power section is permanently linked to a separate control section through an edge connector.
The controller accepts a mains supply of 3 x AC 200 to 500 V ±10%, allowing deployment on low- or medium-voltage factory grids. Internally, it can deliver a peak output of 8 A, which is used when matching motors and cabling to the drive. Heat generated by the switching devices is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no external heat sink is required. Protection against accidental contact is limited to an enclosure rating of IP20, which means the unit must be installed inside a closed cabinet. For networked control, the power section communicates over MultiEthernet, enabling connection to EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT topologies without additional interface cards.
The paired control section is identified as BASIC, providing standard motion functions without optional technology packages. Position and velocity feedback enter the device through a universal port that supports IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder protocols, removing the need for separate interface modules. Intrinsic functional safety is provided by STO (Safe Torque Off), which disconnects drive power to the motor within permissible stop times when a safety circuit is triggered. Line energy is managed through an infeeding and regenerative power-supply concept that allows excess regenerative energy to be shared across the DC bus in multi-axis installations.
