Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-B-ET-EC-EM-S4-NN-FW, a controller in the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. This unit is used in control cabinets for automated packaging lines, handling robots, and processing machines where it regulates torque, speed, and position on connected servo axes. By converting incoming mains power into precisely timed output pulses, it supports closed-loop motion control that follows commands from the machine PLC. Its housing matches the HCS01 format, allowing several units to be mounted side by side in the same cabinet layout.
Process data is exchanged through a MultiEthernet interface, which allows communication over multiple real-time Ethernet fieldbus systems on one port. Motion functions run on a BASIC control section, which is suitable for standard axis control tasks in automated equipment. Heat is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which circulates cabinet air across the heat sink. The controller permits a peak current of 18 A for short acceleration demand, and the IP20 enclosure helps limit accidental contact with live parts inside a properly enclosed panel. The unit is part of design version 1 of the HCS01 family.
Feedback connections are arranged for flexible integration with different motor systems. Interface 1 accepts IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder signals, allowing the controller to process common feedback formats used on compatible servo motors. Interface 2 provides encoder emulation outputs, which can support devices that require reproduced feedback signals. Power is handled through an infeeding / feeding arrangement, so the module can operate from a line-fed supply or from a shared intermediate circuit. The permitted input range is 3 × AC 110 to 230 V ±10%, and the supply window is monitored to reduce undervoltage-related interruptions.
