Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-A-CC-EC-ET-SB-NN-FW is a drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It converts three-phase supply power into a regulated DC bus and sends precisely timed commands to servo inverters, allowing coordinated multi-axis motion in packaging, handling, and machining lines. Within the HCS01 family, the unit is design version 1 for this frame size. In a machine system, it serves as the power conversion and coordination stage for connected motion axes during synchronized movement.
The controller accepts a mains input of 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10%, allowing it to operate on a wide range of industrial power systems. It supplies a device peak current of 18 A, which provides short-term current headroom during acceleration and braking. Thermal management uses internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so cabinet air moves across the heat sink without external ducting. The enclosure has an IP20 rating, which provides finger-safe protection and requires installation inside a control cabinet. The unit uses an infeeding and fed DC bus arrangement, so it can deliver energy to or draw energy from a shared bus capacitor during regenerative operation. This arrangement supports shared energy flow between connected axes when one motor is braking and another is accelerating.
For real-time motion exchange, the power section links to a SERCOS III master (cross communication), which supports tight synchronization with adjacent drives. Interface 1 supports IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder feedback through the optional control board, allowing compatible motor feedback devices to be processed directly by the controller. Interface 2 uses MultiEthernet, giving access to Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, and EtherCAT over the same platform. The installed control section is the ADVANCED type, which adds extended PLC functions and additional memory. This communication layout supports coordinated motion control while keeping standard industrial Ethernet access available.
