Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-B-ET-EC-EM-NN-NN-NW drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It interfaces between a plant’s AC mains and connected servo or induction motors, supplying regulated power and executing closed-loop control so automated machinery can maintain commanded speed, position, and torque. This arrangement lets one compact drive handle both power conversion and motion regulation for machine axes that must respond accurately to changing loads. It also allows the controller to coordinate motor behavior with commands from the higher-level control system without requiring separate power electronics.
The controller accepts a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10 %, allowing direct connection to a wide range of industrial power grids. Its power stage can furnish up to 28 A of peak current, which indicates the short-term acceleration capability of the attached motor. Communication with higher-level PLCs occurs over MultiEthernet, and this multi-protocol port supports Sercos III, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and EtherCAT without additional hardware. The housing carries an IP20 rating, so the unit must be mounted inside a switchgear cabinet. Heat is removed by internal air cooling with an integrated blower, which helps keep internal components within their permitted temperature range. Motor position feedback is received through Interface 1, which accepts IndraDyn Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder signals for high-resolution absolute measurement.
Interface 2 provides encoder emulation, enabling incremental outputs for controllers that cannot process digital motor feedback directly. The hardware uses the BASIC control section, so no additional safety interface is included. Internal power handling supports infeeding or fed operation, allowing the unit to work either as a rectifier or as a DC bus consumer within a multi-axis system. The controller belongs to the HCS01 line and is design version 1. It can be used in systems that need standard drive functions, flexible network communication, and compatibility with both digital and emulated feedback paths.
