As an HCS drive controller, it forms the power and control interface between an IndraDyn servo motor and a higher-level PLC, enabling the velocity, torque, and position loops used in automated assembly cells and packaging machines. This arrangement lets the controller regulate motor current in real time and follow commanded motion profiles during indexing, transfer, and positioning tasks. Within a multi-axis system, it coordinates motion sequences and responds to safety-related stop commands.

It operates from a three-phase mains supply of 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10 %, so the same unit can be used on a wide range of industrial power systems without an autotransformer. A device peak output of 8 A supports low-to-medium power IndraDyn motors while keeping the cabinet footprint minimal.
