Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-B-ET-EC-EM-SB-NN-FW is a compact HCS Drive Controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Delivered as design version 1 with no additional design features, the unit supplies regulated power to synchronous or induction motors while exchanging real-time status data with higher-level PLCs. By combining a power section and a removable control section, the device executes motion commands, monitors feedback, and protects the connected axis during operation. This layout supports single-axis applications in packaging machines, conveyors, and material-handling equipment where compact cabinet integration and network-based control are required.
For networked control, the power section presents a MultiEthernet interface, allowing direct connection to Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT without additional gateway hardware. Continuous thermal management is handled by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so cabinet air is pulled through the heat sink and expelled without external ducts. The device can deliver up to 28 A of peak current, giving short-term torque reserve during acceleration or changing load conditions. It accepts mains supplies from 3 x AC 200 to 500 V ±10%, enabling the same hardware to operate on a wide range of industrial power systems. An IP20 housing protects live parts while keeping the unit suitable for installation inside an electrical enclosure with appropriate cabinet protection.
Motion feedback flexibility is provided by the mounted control section, which processes IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder signals and can replicate those signals through encoder emulation for downstream controllers. The internal power stage uses an infeeding and fed power topology, permitting energy exchange between axes when the application includes regenerative braking. That control section is identified as BASIC and provides standard I/O and diagnostic functions for routine axis control. During deceleration, usable braking energy can be passed along a shared DC bus instead of being handled only as waste heat.
