Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-NN-FW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. As an element of the HCS01 line, it manages power conversion and closed-loop motion tasks for servo and induction motors used in conveyors, pick-and-place gantries, and other automated stations. The unit regulates torque, speed, and position while exchanging diagnostic data with upper-level control systems to keep industrial processes synchronized. Because the controller closes the motion loop locally, it can respond quickly to command changes and load disturbances during normal machine operation.
On the power side, the unit accepts a mains supply of 3 x AC 200…500 V ±10%, letting it operate from international three-phase networks without additional transformers. During rapid acceleration, the power stage can deliver up to 28 A of peak current to support short-term demand changes. Heat generated by switching losses is removed through internal air cooling provided by an integrated blower, eliminating the need for external ducting. The housing carries an IP20 rating, so the drive is intended for installation inside a protected cabinet. Communication with PLCs is handled by a MultiEthernet port that can be set for EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, EtherCAT, or SERCOS III, allowing the same hardware to fit several plant network standards. Its cabinet-mounted design suits centralized control layouts where power electronics are grouped near other automation hardware.
The control section is the BASIC variant, and the unit is version 1. This configuration works with a shared DC bus in infeeding or fed operation, so the drive can be used either as a supply unit or as an axis inverter. Feedback is processed through a dedicated IndraDyn Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder channel, which supports motor feedback integration on standard motion axes. A second encoder port and a safety interface are not installed, keeping the configuration focused on applications that use external safety relays. That arrangement supports common single-axis installations where only the primary motor feedback channel is required for operation.
