Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-L4-NN-AW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Within an automation cell, this unit links the plant power network to servo and spindle motors, shaping voltage and current so that motion commands from a PLC are carried out with repeatable torque and speed. It is intended for regulated motion applications where stable current delivery and closed-loop response are required.
The controller connects to higher-level systems through a MultiEthernet port that accepts several real-time Ethernet protocols without additional hardware. It draws its supply from 3 x AC 200…500 V ±10%, allowing the same model to operate in both 230 V and 480 V plants. During acceleration or braking, the inverter section can deliver up to 28 A of peak current to the motor windings for short bursts of added torque. Thermal management relies on internal air cooling, and the housing has an IP20 protection rating, so the drive is finger-safe but must be installed in a clean electrical enclosure.
The control section supplied with this power module is the BASIC variant for standard positioning tasks, and it is listed as design version 1. Motor feedback is read through a universal encoder socket that supports IndraDyn Hiperface and EnDat 2.1 / 2.2, allowing fine position resolution and automatic parameter recognition with compatible motors. Integrated functional safety shuts down torque and releases brakes through the dual-channel STO and SBC interface, so external safety relays can remove motion energy without cutting main power. The power supply unit also supports DC-bus energy sharing, allowing several drives on the same bus to use regenerated energy and reduce line-side losses.
