The HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-B-ET-EC-PB-L4-NN-FW is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series and belongs to the HCS01 line. Version 1 combines the power stage and control electronics in a narrow housing that fits small control cabinets. The unit converts mains energy to a regulated three-phase output and supervises motion commands, enabling precise speed or torque control of servo and induction motors in automated packaging cells, pick-and-place modules, and conveyor stations. By offloading axis regulation from the PLC, it supports high-performance multi-axis machine design.
It accepts a mains supply of 3-phase 110–230 V AC ±10%, rectifies and modulates it through IGBT stages, and delivers up to 13 A of peak output current to the motor windings. Thermal management is handled by internal air cooling, provided by an integrated blower that moves cabinet air across heat sinks. Electrical protection is limited to an IP20 housing, so the device must be mounted inside a protective enclosure. Fieldbus integration is carried over a MultiEthernet port that supports simultaneous protocols such as EtherNet/IP and PROFINET. This allows the drive to exchange command and status data over a single network connection.
The unit uses a BASIC control section that corresponds to the B designation for standard functionality. Interface 1 processes feedback from motors equipped with Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 transducers, while Interface 2 provides deterministic I/O exchange over PROFIBUS when legacy PLC links are required. For functional safety, the power stage includes hardware channels for STO and SBC, allowing immediate torque removal and brake engagement under emergency conditions. The power supply supports infeeding and regenerative operation, so deceleration energy can return to the DC bus.
