Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-A-CC-EC-DA-NN-NN-FW drive controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. In a motion system, it serves as the closed-loop interface between the AC line supply and a servo motor, supplying regulated current while receiving position feedback for stable torque and velocity control. As part of the HCS01 line, it is suited to compact drive arrangements that need coordinated axis behavior in automated equipment. Its function is to translate controller commands into motor response with the timing needed for repeatable positioning and smooth speed regulation.
This controller communicates with adjacent drives and the PLC over SERCOS III, which supports deterministic data exchange and axis cross-communication. The control section is the ADVANCED type, providing access to extended operating functions and deeper diagnostics. Feedback signals enter through an Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 connection, so compatible absolute encoder data can be processed directly by the drive. Thermal management uses internal air cooling from an integrated blower, avoiding external ducting requirements. Under transient demand, the unit can deliver a peak current of 13 A, and it accepts an input supply of 3 x AC 110–230 V ±10%. The enclosure is rated IP20, which limits installation to protected control cabinets.
DC link energy is handled by a common DC bus power supply, allowing connected axes to share energy during acceleration and braking. This arrangement supports regenerative operation inside multi-axis systems and helps maintain stable power flow across the drive group. The unit does not include a dedicated safety interface, so safety shutdown must be provided by external circuitry that interrupts power in the application. Cabinet planning should allow space for airflow, cable routing, and properly rated upstream protection devices.
