The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-EP-S5-NN-FW is an AC drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Within an automation cell, this controller supplies regulated power to synchronous or asynchronous motors and exchanges real-time motion data with higher-level PLCs. That role lets it serve as the axis control layer between field devices and plant supervision software while keeping motor control and network communication in one compact unit. It is suited to machine axes that require coordinated speed, torque, and position control during continuous production cycles.
A MultiEthernet port provides network connectivity, so the controller supports MultiEthernet protocols such as EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and EtherCAT without extra hardware. The control section is classified as BASIC, meaning standard axis functions are available without optional technology packages. An enclosure rating of IP20 limits use to closed cabinets where contact with live parts and ingress from larger particles are controlled. Because of that enclosure class, the controller is intended for installation inside a protected control cabinet rather than direct exposure on the machine. Incoming power can be any three-phase supply from 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10%, so the same unit can be applied on both 230 V and 460 V mains. During dynamic acceleration or braking, the power stage can deliver up to 18 A of peak current to the connected motor windings, allowing short bursts of torque above continuous ratings.
Feedback wiring terminates on Interface 1, which accepts encoder formats up to EnDat 2.2 for absolute position resolution, so no external adapter card is required for compatible motors. The power section supports infeeding or DC-bus-fed operation, giving the controller flexibility in stand-alone layouts or shared-bus systems. This arrangement fits cabinets that use either a single drive supply or a common DC bus across several axes. Cooling is provided by an internal blower, so no external ducting is required and heat is released into the cabinet airflow path. Forced internal airflow helps move heat away from the power section when the load changes rapidly. The unit is design 1, placing it within the current HCS01 line.
