The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-NN-NN-FW is a HCS01 series drive controller. Bosch has designed it for motor control in industrial applications. The controller is available in an IP20 rated enclosure. This type of enclosure does not provide protection against dust and moisture. Therefore Bosch recommends installing the controller inside a suitable cabinet. The recommended installation method is attaching the controller backside to the mounting surface. In case space restriction don’t allow backside mounting, the controller can be mounted by attaching either the left side or the right side to the cabinet wall. The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-NN-NN-FW takes in cool air through an opening at the bottom. The air absorbs heat as it passes over the heated controller components and exits through at opening at the top of the controller. The recommended ambient air temperature range is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius.
The controller’s rated maximum output current is 8 Amps. The output current falls below the rated value if the ambient temperature goes above 40 degrees Celsius. The input voltage range is 200 to 500 Volts AC. The control section on the HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-NN-NN-FW has a basic design. An integrated multi-encoder interface allows controller use with multiple motor encoders. The integrated communication interface on the HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-NN-NN-FW controller is Multi-Ethernet. The controller features an additional CANopen communication interface. A slot on the controller designated for a safety module is vacant. HCS controller support multiple safety modules that support safe motion, safe brake control and safe torque off. Operators can use a standard control panel to configure and monitor the controller. Bosch will not accept liability for damage or injury occurring due to improper installation. The controller, accessories and associated equipment must be handled and installed by qualified technical personnel.
