Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03 is a compact drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. It functions as the command and power interface between a PLC and connected servo or induction motors, handling current regulation, fault monitoring, and fieldbus exchange so motion axes can be integrated into automated assembly lines, packaging equipment, or material-handling stations. By combining command processing and motor power conversion in one housing, the unit reduces the number of separate components required for a single-axis cabinet layout. Its compact format also suits installations where several axes must fit in limited panel space.
This controller carries an enclosure rating of IP20, so the housing blocks solid objects larger than 12.5 mm and must be installed inside a protected cabinet. The power section accepts 3 x AC 200...500 V ±10%, which allows the same unit to operate on both 230 V and 400 V factory supplies without a transformer. During acceleration or brief load surges, the unit can deliver a device peak current of 5 A, which is the upper limit for short-term motor demand. Cooling is provided by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, which moves cabinet air across the heat sink without external ducting. The integrated supply stage supports infeeding and DC-bus-fed operation, so the controller can receive energy from a shared supply or return regenerated energy to the common link.
The hardware follows Design Version 1, and the controller belongs to the HCS01 line series, so units with different current ratings use the same general mounting pattern. The unit supports SERCOS, Profibus, and CANopen interfaces for coordinated motion and fieldbus integration. This allows the same platform to serve machine sections that use different network standards while keeping the control hardware consistent across the cabinet. The controller is intended for protected panel installation where compact size, shared DC bus use, and standard industrial communication options are required.
