The HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-B-ET-EC-EC-L3-NN-FW is a compact axis drive manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Installed between the plant mains and a motor, it converts three-phase input power into controlled motor current, executes motion commands from a higher-level PLC, and supports integrated safety shutdown. Its role in industrial automation is to provide closed-loop torque, speed, and position control for medium-power actuators used in handling systems, production machinery, and other coordinated motion applications.

Within the HCS01 line, this controller accepts a three-phase supply of 110–230 V AC ±10% and can deliver up to 13 A of peak output current to the connected motor. Thermal management is handled by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no external ducting is required. The housing carries an IP20 rating, making it suitable for installation inside a closed electrical cabinet where contact protection is needed. Fieldbus integration is provided by the MultiEthernet communication port, allowing the drive to operate on EtherNet/IP, Sercos over Ethernet, or PROFINET without hardware changes. Two identical feedback channels support resolver-equivalent digital encoders, and each port accepts Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 signals for position verification and automatic parameter identification. For functional safety, the drive includes STO, which disables torque when a hazard signal is received. Power enters the controller through an infeeding and fed supply section, allowing common DC-bus linking with other HCS modules and supporting shared power structures inside multi-axis systems.
