Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-A-CC-EC-DA-NN-NN-FW drive controller as part of the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. Classified as an HCS Drive Controller, the unit converts supply power into regulated outputs for servo and spindle axes in automated machinery. It can be combined with matching power-supply and control sections to build multi-axis stations that share a common DC bus, creating a compact motion platform with diagnostics, parameter storage, and scalable performance for coordinated motion applications.
The controller belongs to the HCS01 line and uses the ADVANCED control section, so additional processing resources are available for complex positioning tasks and coordinated axis functions. Network traffic is handled through a SERCOS III master interface that supports cross-communication between connected drives during synchronized motion. The power stage tolerates a device peak current of 8 A, allowing short bursts of torque during acceleration or braking. For mains connection, it accepts 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10%, enabling use on a wide range of three-phase supply systems without tap changes. The integrated infeeding and fed power supply arrangement links the unit to neighboring converters, so regenerated energy can be redistributed along the bus instead of being dissipated as heat.
An internal air cooling channel driven by a built-in blower moves cabinet air through the heat sink, so no external ducting is required. The housing carries an IP20 rating, indicating finger-safe live parts while remaining suitable for installation inside protected electrical enclosures. Feedback wiring is terminated on the IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder socket. This allows the drive to read absolute rotor position without additional interface modules.
