The Bosch Rexroth HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-EP-S4-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller. Its functional features include scalable signal processing and firmware, multi-encoder interface for standard encoders, DC bus connection, analog input (14-bit resolutions, ±10 Volt), eight digital inputs, performance-dependent fan control, integrated brake current measurement and monitoring, winding short-circuit at motor output for shutdown in the event of fatal errors, and Hall sensor adapter box. The controller supports AC input at 200 to 500 Volts AC. Its peak current output is 8 Amps. The unit weighs approximately 1.3 kilograms. Its dimensions are: 215 millimeters height, 196 millimeters depth and 50 millimeters width. The insulation resistance at 500 Volts DC is 10 megaohms. The capacitance against housing is 2 x 68 nanofarads. The IP20 rated housing is suited to vertical mounting. Bosch recommends cabinet mounting for the controller.
The recommendation from Bosch is to fix the rear controller surface to the mounting surface. Either left-hand or right-hand mounting is allowed if the mounting clearance between control cabinet wall and control cabinet front is not sufficient for back-side mounting. The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-EP-S4-NN-FW supports forced air cooling. The cool air inlet is at the bottom and the warm air outlet is at the top of the unit. Controller operation with nominal data requires 0 to 40 degrees Celsius ambient temperature. Higher ambient temperatures lead to output derating.
