Internal Product Review
The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-CC-EC-PB-L4-NN-FW is an HCS drive controller engineered for demanding motion control duty. An internal air blower supports consistent thermal management, and the 54 A peak current gives the unit strong dynamic capability. SERCOS III master cross communication and integrated STO/SBC functions make the controller a highly capable choice for advanced machine architectures.

Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-CC-EC-PB-L4-NN-FW is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. The device belongs to the compact HCS01 line and acts as a drive controller that converts facility power into precisely regulated current for servo and induction motors in automated machinery. By combining power electronics, communication hardware, and safety circuits in one enclosure, it reduces cabinet wiring and supports coordinated axis motion with a central PLC. Its compact format suits installations where drive electronics must fit into limited panel space without separating key control and power functions.
Design version 1 is combined with the control section marked ADVANCED, which supports extended motion functions. The power stage can supply 54 A of peak current to the attached axis, while current regulators help keep the motor within thermal limits during changing load conditions. The unit accepts an input supply of 3 x AC 200...500 V with a tolerance of ±10%, so the same controller can be used on common 230 V and 400 V systems. Component protection is limited to IP20, which means the drive must be mounted inside an enclosure to prevent contact with internal parts. Time-critical motion data is exchanged through a SERCOS III master interface, and heat from the IGBTs is removed by an integrated blower instead of external fans.
The drive accepts position feedback through the Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 port, and non-real-time control messages can also arrive over PROFIBUS. Functional safety is covered by STO and SBC, allowing the controller to remove torque and control the brake through certified channels. The power section is classified as Infeeding / Feeded, so it can absorb regenerated energy and return it to a shared DC bus. This arrangement supports multi-axis systems in which braking energy from one axis can be used elsewhere on the DC link instead of being dissipated locally.
