Thermal loads are removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so no external cooling ducts are required in cabinets with typical plant airflow. An IP20 housing limits accidental contact with energized parts while keeping the unit compact for cabinet installation. The unit is design version 1. Power is drawn from the DC bus of an infeeding or fed-back supply module, enabling common-bus energy sharing among multiple axes.
For real-time networking, the controller offers a SERCOS III master with cross communication channel that synchronizes distributed drives with very precise timing. The paired control section is classified as ADVANCED, adding onboard PLC resources and safety functions without external cards. Motor feedback is routed through the multifunction sensor port, which supports IndraDyn Hiperface or EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder feedback, while field-level commands from PLCs can also arrive over PROFIBUS. This combination of motion networking, encoder support, and fieldbus connectivity allows the controller to fit into both newer IndraMotion systems and existing production lines without extra gateway hardware.
