The Bosch HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-L4-NN-FW is an IndraDrive series drive controller. Servo systems with HCS controllers are widely deployed for applications including automated assembly and handling systems, compact machines for wood machining, filling and closing cartons, label printing, digital printing, and semiconductor production. Each HCS controller features a multi-encoder interface that allows controller use with a wide range of motors encoders. The integrated communication interface on the HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-L4-NN-FW controller is Multi-Ethernet. An optional CANopen communication interface is also installed on the controller. CANopen is a communication protocol and device profile specification for embedded systems used in industrial automation. The safety module supports both safe torque off and safe brake control. Safe torque off is a safety mechanism that prevents the drive from restarting unexpectedly. Safe brake control is a safety feature designed to safely control an external power-off brake.
The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-L4-NN-FW controller is compatible with a standard control panel. Firmware for the controller must be ordered separately. The maximum connection voltage is 200 to 500 Volts AC. The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-L4-NN-FW is capable of delivering 8 Amps output current. The output derates if the ambient temperature exceeds 40 degrees Celsius. The output also derates if the altitude exceeds 1000 meters. The derating factors multiply if both the altitude and temperature exceed specified limits simultaneously. The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-L4-NN-FW is available in an IP20 rated enclosure that is suited to cabinet mounting. The backside mounting is the standard and should be used if possible. Left-hand or right-hand mounting can be used if the mounting clearance between control cabinet wall and control cabinet front is insufficient for backside mounting. Heat dissipation inside the cabinet necessitates appropriate spacing between devices in the same cabinet.
