Bosch Rexroth Indramat’s HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-L4-NN-FW belongs to the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series and is supplied as a compact drive controller for servo and induction motors used in distributed automation cells. By integrating power electronics with motion logic, it supplies regulated three-phase output to matched IndraDrive power sections and executes Safe Torque Off sequences when connected to compliant machinery. This arrangement is suitable for positioning axes, conveyor sections, and other machine modules that need closed-loop motor control in a compact machine installation.
The controller links to supervisory PLCs over a MultiEthernet connection, allowing EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT communication without option cards. It draws power from a three-phase supply of 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10% and can deliver up to 8 A of peak motor current for rapid acceleration profiles. Heat generated by the IGBT stage is removed through internal air cooling with an integrated blower, so no additional cabinet ducting is necessary. Component surfaces are finger-safe and dust-limited because the housing carries an IP20 rating for enclosed mounting inside switchgear. Because the unit is intended for cabinet installation, it is protected against direct contact without being sealed for washdown exposure.
Its control section is coded as BASIC, which means standard motion functions are available without the advanced performance options found in higher tiers. This control level covers common drive tasks where extended motion features are not required. Functional safety is achieved through dual-channel STO and SBC logic, allowing both torque interruption and brake actuation via certified terminals. Motor feedback is accepted through an Encoder IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 interface, while field-level devices such as I/O nodes can be chained on the dedicated CANopen bus. The infeeding and feeder power supply topology allows several HCS01 units to share a common DC link.
