The HCS02.1E-W0028-A-03-NNNV is a compact drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and part of the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. As a drive controller, it receives line power, conditions it, and regulates torque and speed commands delivered to synchronous or induction motors in automated machine tools, packaging lines, and material-handling cells. It supports closed-loop control through fieldbus options, coordinates axis performance with upper-level PLCs, and keeps dynamic loads within programmed motion profiles. That control behavior supports coordinated starts, stops, and speed changes across axes that must remain synchronized during repetitive production cycles.
The controller accepts a three-phase input of 3 × AC 200…500 V ±10%, so one supply platform can support machines used on 200 V to 480 V mains. Heat is removed by internal air cooling from an integrated blower, eliminating the need for cabinet ducting. Continuous operating power ranges from 1.5 to 11 kW, allowing the same unit to serve low-inertia indexing axes and medium-power conveyors. The protection class is IP20, so the controller is intended for enclosed panels while still allowing front access for wiring and parameter backup. During acceleration bursts, it can source up to 28 A of peak current. The control electronics use DC 24 V, and an integrated brake transistor dissipates regenerated energy from vertical axes.

The power section is rated for Infeeding / Feeded operation, meaning it can receive DC link energy from an upstream supply or rectify incoming AC and distribute the DC bus to follower drives. When used at the head of a drive group, it can supply follower drives from a shared DC bus instead of requiring a separate upstream supply for each axis. This arrangement lets multi-axis systems share a common regenerative path and simplifies cabinet wiring in grouped drive layouts.
