The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-B-ET-EC-EM-NN-NN-FW is a compact drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. As a power and regulation module, it controls servo and induction motors by managing speed, torque, and position loops in machine tools, packaging lines, and assembly cells. By combining power electronics with axis feedback interfaces, the unit links a plant's three-phase supply to the motion hardware that performs the mechanical work. This arrangement allows the controller to translate command values into regulated motor output while continuously reacting to axis feedback during operation.

The power stage delivers a peak current of 28 A, allowing short-term acceleration of high-inertia axes. It accepts supply voltages from 3 x AC 200–500 V ±10%, so the same unit can operate on common industrial mains used in different regions. An internal blower provides air cooling and moves heat away from the IGBTs and control boards, while the enclosure still needs suitable cabinet airflow to carry that heat away from the drive area. The integrated fieldbus port supports MultiEthernet, enabling direct connection to Ethernet-based controllers used for coordinated motion. The first encoder channel supports IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2, while the second channel offers encoder emulation for incremental signal reproduction, which helps the drive work with both current and older control hardware. The housing has an IP20 rating, so cabinet installation is required for protection against dust and water exposure.

Within the HCS01 line, this unit operates with the BASIC control section, which keeps parameter handling consistent across axes. The power module uses infeeding and fed operation, so it can return regenerative energy to the DC bus and use power supplied by an upstream rectifier. This version is hardware revision 1. A safety interface is not included, so safety functions must be provided by external components when they are required.
