It coordinates power flow between the plant mains and servo or induction motors in automated cells, presses, and material-handling stations. Delivered as a single-axis unit, it forms the regulated DC bus, monitors load conditions, and communicates with higher-level PLCs to execute motion sequences precisely. Its control electronics supervise motor response and bus behavior during changing process loads, which supports repeatable motion on standalone axes. It is suitable for applications that need controlled speed, torque, and positioning from a compact power and control stage.
The controller operates from a three-phase supply rated at 3 x AC 400 to 500 V, +10%/-15%. This voltage window allows installation on European or North American 480 V grids without autotransformers. During acceleration or rapid deceleration, it can deliver a device peak current of 100 A, providing short-term torque reserve for the connected axis. Continuous power handling spans 15 to 75 kW, which suits medium-sized pumps, extruders, or gantry drives. Thermal energy is removed by internal air cooling through an integrated blower, so cabinet air passes across the heat sink without external ducting. The enclosure has a rating of IP20, which requires cabinet installation and protects against contact with solid objects larger than 12 mm.
As part of the HCS03 line, the module supports infeeding and fed operation, so multiple drives can share a common DC link and return energy to the bus during regenerative events. The unit is Design 1, which identifies the controller revision within this product line. The coding string ends with Voltage Code 05, which matches the power section to the stated supply class.
