Product Description:
The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-L4-AA-FW is an HCS drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and placed within the HCS IndraDrive Controllers series. The device provides the link between plant mains and a single servo or induction motor, converting digital motion commands into regulated three-phase output for precise speed and torque control. Typical applications include automated packaging lines, material-handling stations, and compact printing modules where space-saving axis inverters are required.
Inside the HCS01 frame, communication with higher-level PLCs is handled through a MultiEthernet port that supports EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and EtherCAT without additional hardware. The power stage accepts 3 × AC 200–500 V ±10% and can supply up to 5 A of peak current to the connected motor. Thermal losses are removed by internal air cooling, which uses an integrated blower and eliminates cabinet ducting. Rotor position and speed feedback are processed through an IndraDyn Hiperface/EnDat 2.1/2.2 encoder interface; a second feedback channel is not included, which simplifies wiring. This unit is shipped as design version 1, and its firmware must be ordered as a separate sub-position so the software can match specific application requirements.
Axis control is executed by a basic control section that pairs mechanically and electrically with the power module. For cabinet mounting, the housing carries an IP20 rating, providing finger-safe protection but requiring installation in a closed enclosure to guard against dust and liquids. Integrated functional safety offers STO and SBC, allowing torque shutdown and brake release through the built-in terminals without external relays. Energy is exchanged over a common DC-bus link, letting multiple drives share a common supply and reducing line-side components and wiring.
